How to remove cached pages from.Bing

Hi, need help with removing search results on Bing.

A few links pop up in the Bing search result which are outdated. Eg LinkedIn posts that do no longer exist and other results from websites that do not longer display the data.

When you klick on the link, it goes to a generic webiste, ie the LinkedIn log in page or the general home website of the link.

I have tried to use the Bing removal tool to remove the outdated links - but it keeps giving me error messages as follows:

A) when I ask for removal, it tells me the website still exists (well, the webite gets redirected, the original site does actually no longer exist)

B) when I request a cache removal, it askes me for key words. None of the words included in the orginal site work - i have no idea what the cached site looks like - but the snippet preview on the Bing search result still displays what was orginally on that site.

Unfortunatelly, Bing doesnt offer the option to report a problem with the removal tool, like ie Google does.

How do I get rid of the outdated search results??? The removal tool is quite useless.

Thanks.

Good day, thanks for your question. Sorry to know about this and since you are requesting for alteration or deletion, you will need to report this via https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/concern/bing and from there select Bing Search > Something else… > A related search or search suggestion provided by Bing and then fill out the form and submit it for the relevant team to check and take action on this.

Regards,
Paul R.

Doent work - if you chose those options, it brings you back to the (useless) removal tool. You have no possibility anymore to raise any concern via the options you have outlined above

You might have selected the other option which is under “A broken link or outdated webpage Select this option to request the removal of broken links or outdated cached pages appearing in search results” instead of “ A related search or search suggestion provided by Bing: Use this form to report harmful or offensive search suggestions or related searches provided by Bing” as per the screenshot below I can see a form from my end.

Thanks. Can try that, but the search results are not "harmful or offensive", just plain outdated.

I have found the same issue in the forum/communiyy from 2015 onwards. They could have just fixed the tool - google works great for that, cant be so difficult - you can simply report an issue in the tool itself

You can respond back to let them know that the removal tool is not working as it should as they should still check this one and again my apologies as here in the forums there is no inside access to be able to do this on my end as well.
