How to delete/disable Bing chatbot in Skype?

The latest version of Skype includes a very intrusive Bing chatbot. How can I get rid of it or disable it.

May I know if you're using Skype on PC? If so, simply right click on Bing and click on 'Delete Bing' to remove the bing chatbot. Let me know if this works. Thank you.

Hi Jen. Thanks for the speedy reply.

Yes, I am using Skype on a Windows 11 PC. When I activated Skype this morning it automatically updated to the latest version and that is when Bing appeared. I tried right clicking and deleting Bing before posting the question but it didn't seem to work. It vanished from the chat stream but virtually immediately reappeared with another string of inane questions. Hence my post.

I have just tried right click - delete again and it seems to have worked so far. I'll get back to you if it reappears. I don't use Skype a lot, typically about once per week for one hour, but I don't want that conversation interrupted by so called AI that doesn't appear to be much more intelligent than ELIZA in the mid 60s

Hey, Jen. I've right clicked the bing thing and deleted it at least 4 times now, and it keeps coming back..... Help!!!! I'm on a PC.

I have the same issue. I hit delete and all it does is delete the chat and then annoys me all day long to where now I have 5 freaking messages from Bing trying to help me. I've used my dedicated number for Skype for years and don't need Bing's help. If Skype doesn't delete Bing I will be voting with my dollars and cancel my dedicated Skype line and remove the Skype app. It is so frustrating why you IT people think that it is a good thing to keep shoving stupid ideas down the throats of consumers with no way to disable it. Frankly, I am very close to doing the unthinkable and learn how to use Apple.

I tried to block it, I tried to delete it, I tried everything and nothing works and it's a total pain in the butt because it had sent me a message before I did that and now my chat icon shows I have 1 message and I can't get rid of it.

I tried blocking it from Skype Android in the Profile View (also reported it for Spam, because it is spamming the same mesage over and over). So far its silent, keeping fingers crossed, that this sh*t keeps staying away.

I right clicked on the message to pull up the Bing profile and then blocked it. That seems to be working.
