Let me just start by saying, no this is NOT my first time dealing with a issue like this. i live in a house with 4 other people who use and do rewards for all sorts of purchases. My problem in specific is buying things with rewards points. they either never give what i purchased or flat out tell me im making the order code up. My first attempt was almost a little over a full year ago. I purchased a 12,000 point gift card for xbox live ultimate. I never got my code to redeem. but they took my points. I call support, support tells me that they only deal with direct deposits. this is a "REWARDS SUPPORT" Problem. So i tried them. Never got a reply back to my email. never got my ultimate (Until a month and a half later cause i tried for like a week straight and gave up, i did eventually notice and find a code in my order history... 1mnth and a half later) but i distinctly remember support telling me that if its cash they deal with it. direct deposit, gift cards, account funds etc etc that's them. So i no longer use rewards points physically, i turn them into liquid account cash. to avoid waiting weeks while dealing with the rewards email guy trying to be my penpal. Now we enter my current problem. It seems every single time MY ACCOUNT makes a purchase using rewards or account cash i get screwed over . it never reflects in my order history or shows up months late if at all. I decided im gunna hit the game sale with my rewards. I redeemed a $25 gift card, a $5 and $3 gift card. $33 bucks in total at around 30,000 points. I got to buy a game for 39.99 was gunna use $7 of my own money on top of the $33 and Only $8 usd is reflecting. (It spammed my venmo 4 times trying to purchase before i could even look at my account balance to set up how i pay) Now see I know better then i used to.. they've done this multiple times before.. so I screenshot every order. every code. and double check my order history The $25 is not showing up and since its direct deposit cash in my account. This should be a rewards problem. I show them my order code. After about an hour of me talking to this dude in a circle he tries to gaslight me and im told my order code doesnt exist or was never made... and completely ignores the part i told him where they tried to charge me 4x of $39.99 so i share the screenshot from the purchase menu off my tv. Now the tune changes. Im immediately told this is a REWARDS SUPPORT problem... It seems like every single time i try to buy something. My orders disapear or im forced to go on some quest to fix it. every. single. time. I have 4 people who live in my house and never have these issues. we do the same deals same purchases etc etc What makes me so special?
Does anyone else feel like microsoft rewards is a scam? Has anyone else had the runaround while trying to get support?

THATS WHAT I AM SAYING. But gaslight is crazy 💀. I had the same thing a year ago when but at least you had a chance to redeem. I was 300pts away (2 days) away from redeeming an $25 Amazon giftcard and I got suspended. I reached support and they said they will and I quote “For now, I will temporarily park this Service Request. Do not worry, we can reopen the case if you confirm that the issue or concern is not yet answered or resolved.” Till THIS DAY they didn’t reach and I gave up. Then all these ytbers recommended rewards a year later and I was like okay ill try again same prob and I got suspended. I mean which kinda of suspension is this. It's just a ban

Update: After waiting a week. My $25 gift card is still "in progress" and support hasent replied or emailed back. I have come to the conclusion that rewards are, Indeed. A scam. they didnt withhold my $5 gift card, my $3 gift card or the new $1.25 gift card i also redeemed.( tested to see if it happened again) They choose to Keep the lions share of my giftcard points, in the biggest amount at $25. and then, before purchase it doesnt even give me the choice to pick my account balance as a way to pay, Just immediately tries to charge my card. FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. it says "within 24 hours points will be deposited" right on the top of the page with my order history. im on day 7. and the fact the game is on sale for a limited time, this all feels like a intentional scam. I have sent 3 support tickets. been called a liar. Gaslit. been bounced around. and straight up ignored when i asked for a supervisor. There isnt even a phone number to call anymore.... support is non existent. HOWEVER. fortunately. Playstation has the same exact game on sale. At the exact same price. Just no reward points or gift cards. But that's okay. Because I've never had a complaint about playstations customer service. Because I've never had to actually get in touch with them. Xbox can go ahead and keep that $25 giftcard that they wanna hold hostage for no reason (Wont show up in my account til after the sale is over anyways) cause im gunna go ahead and pay full price for it over at Playstation. my only hope is that somebody else sees this before they decide to spend their points! Try to limit it to tiny $5 increments or purchases and immediately check your order history to make sure they arent holding your stuff hostage! make sure you have what you paid for before making more purchases! Dont make my mistake! support has truely given me the impression they don't care or know what they are doing, so please be safe and smart with your spending.

I totally agree with you that it is totally a scam. I just started using the rewards cashback program and I seen two coupons on Microsoft Rewards that I could definitely use. One was for $10 and the other for $5 dollars and they have ripped me off on both and said on one of them I had already used how could I have already used if I just started with the program.

Bing Rewards is definitely a scam.
I was happily collecting points at home for about 6 months and everything looked fine. I went on holiday in a different country for 2 weeks and of course while i was there I used my phone to search for things in the local area where I was staying.
When I got back home, the Bing rewards page started saying 'Oops, looks like you're on the go. Points are only available in one country each day'
Its been like that every since. I cant earn any more points and more annoyingly I can't redeem the ones I have.
I contacted support and they weren't interested in helping. They just kept saying that I can only earn points in one country and directed me to their Ts and Cs. They implied [without actually saying it outright] that I was trying to scam them by collecting points in different countries.
Don't waste your time collecting the points...they wont ever redeem them.

Totally a scam. I’ve used the points to buy the $50 store gift card. Had the amount added to my account, and then it disappeared within like 3 hours without me making any purchases. The response from customer was “you bought something” despite the order history for my account saying otherwise. Now, I’ve encountered a problem where doing the quests doesn’t work. Play game pass daily? That pops no problem. Get an achievement daily? Nope, doesn’t work. And the customer support for the problem is just horrendous.

I'm having the same run around. I believe they scammed us into signing onto this & now they're changing the rules. I'm 71 yrs old & have much more to do than to sit by my PC or phone 24/7 just to get 25 points!
And their customer NO service is useless!

Do yourself a favor and stop trying to get Microsoft rewards. It is not rewarding just aggravating. Ditch bing and use Chrome.
