Bing moderate safesearch keeps turning back on

I have been using bing a lot lately due to the bing AI, one massive problem is that no matter how much I turn off safe search it always comes back on. No matter the device or browser every time I use bing I have to go to the menu, turn off safesearch, save and then a couple minutes/hours later it turns back on. I have cleared my cache, tried other browsers, other devices and yet it still keeps turning on. I want it off permanently.

Hi, Nexxol,

Sorry to hear about this issue. A solution that worked for some users in the past is by changing the country from the settings menu.

Open https://www.bing.com/account/general? > Country/Region > choose a country > Save. Then, check if SafeSearch is off.

You may then try switching back to your home country and see if it works.

Best regards,

That worked on pc but not on mobile. No matter how many times I try to turn safesearch off it’s always back onto moderate

You may check if sync is on when logged in to Bing on your mobile device. Also, please try signing out, and signing back in. Alternatively, try to use a different personal or work account to sign in and see if there's any difference.

Let me know the result.

Thank you.

Nope. I go on the bing home page on mobile, tap my profile in the top right, tap safesearch and turn it off, save settings then as soon as I tap back on the menu it is enabled again. There isn’t an option to sign out or disable sync on mobile. I think this may be an issue on the dev’s side

May I know the mobile OS and version you're using? When using Bing on an Android (S21) at least, there is an option to sign out of our account, and also to sync it as shown in the attached screenshot. The option might not be available on other devices though.

If the issue still exists, I recommend giving a suggestion using the Feedback button from the Settings menu on your mobile device.

Thank you for your patience.
