Supposedly I should be able to click on the Bing icon to see a description of what a picture is about, or where it is etc. No joy. Nothing happens. I love the pictures but wish I had more info!

On the Bing homepage the image of the day is displayed.
If you hover your mouse pointer over where it says the name of the image, for example todays image is "Fly me to the moon" you will get a pop up with a short description of the image and the copyright owners name who the image belongs to.
If you click on the short description of the image "Composite image of the moon" it will take you to a page with an in-depth description all about the image and what it relates to.
Please see the two images below. The first shows you where to hover your mouse pointer and where to click to get more information.
The second image shows you the page you get after clicking on the image description.
I hope this helps.
Kindest regards,
Neil

I do not see any text, i.e. "Fly me to the moon". I moved the task bar to the left but still no text. Each picture should have text showing, right? Never seen it...

Sorry I think you might be talking about your desktop image and not the Bing website?
Are you using the Bing Wallpaper App?
If so, the Bing wallpaper App uses the image of the day. So if you go to Bing.com and then follow my instructions the results are the same.
Let me know what you are using.
Kindest regards,
Neil

Well I have the bing app installed and it is in my system tray. this does not change the image shown on my desktop: i.e. no name for pic, etc. I can see the name if I click on the Bing app. Just want to be sure that this is what is to be expected...
I do have two monitors but don't suppose that makes any difference.

I'm not sure if you have installed the correct app Ron?
The Bing wallpaper app can be downloaded from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/bing/bing-wallp...
At the top, click on where it says "Get the app".
This will download an installation file to your computer called BingWallpaper.exe
You can find this file wherever your downloads are designated to be downloaded too. Usually your Downloads folder.
You need to then click on this executable file to install the Bing Wallpaper app.
Let me know if you install it OK.
Kindest regards,
Neil
