Does anyone else want more offline co-op games? I should also add in that most of the ones out there now are not that great. There are only a few that my girlfriend and I love to play together. Seems like Microsoft is pushing everyone into going online and it's really disappointing. I have a lot of bills and can't justify paying more just to play games online with random strangers. I've played games online before (WoW of course was one) and they don't seem as fun as playing with people in the same room. Sure the split screen can be a little annoying, but not if you have a big screen TV.
I swear I haven't seen as many socially awkward people as I do now. I can only imagine the internet and video games aren't helping much. I do have to give some credit to Microsoft for the Kinect. We don't have one, can't afford it right now and we aren't impressed by the games for it. I loved Baldur's Gate (we had it for the PS2). I wish there were more games like it. The only fun games we have played on our 360 are the Lego games and now Left for Dead 1 & 2 (even though 75% of the co-op is online only....wtf). We are about ready to give up on console gaming. I wish I could tell the game developers that there is a huge crowd that wants more offline co-op games, but I don't know how to reach them. Hopefully they've noticed the "co-optimus" website. That is the best thing that has come along in a very long time. It is still limited because there's maybe 1 or 2 offline co-op games released each year. Anyone else feel the same way? Or am I too "old fashioned"? lol
What gives, Microsoft?
