Xbox series x won’t power on

Hi, just got my new series x today but havent been able to use it yet.  The power light goes off withina second of pressing it and console doesnt start up.  Been awaiting a call back for an hour or 2 now...   is anyone else having this problem?  

Im pretty sure its not related to the known issue with 4k tvs, if my console wont stay on then im not even at that stage.  

#update - finally powered on and stayed on 4 hours after arrival, no obvious reason as to why it didnt work beforehand.

#update2 - as of 2nd December, my console still performing ok.  It has switched off a couple of occasions after a game has crashed, but managed to resume fine afterwards.  Im just going to continue to use mine as long as its working and within warranty.

Same here, was on to get first time update, now it won't turn back on.  Any tricks you did to get yours to come on?

Hello if it was me I wouldnt take that chance I would have returned it and just waited. Should not be having power on issues straight out of the box. I know you want the game on launch but sometimes its best to wait! I hope you wont encounter any more issues with your console!!!

Hi, no literally just hit the button and for first time it stayed on for more than a second or two.  Its not been off since and managed to do the update.  Hope you manage to get up and running again soon

My xbox was working today then about 4 hours ago it has switch off and wont turn back ever since it goes on for about a second or two then switches back off have anybody found a solution to do with this problem

Im having this same issue. And It seems like alot of people are alos having the same issue. Terrible launch by microsoft

Bummed out, I ended up returning mine today. Something definitley wrong here. Mine just wouldn’t stay on for more then 2 seconds. I think im going to wait and see, get one once they are in the wild longer.

Same here, i got it set up yesterday. I try to turn it on today and nothing. Just a small beep and power button lights up and after a few seconds its just off again

Six hours of play now it’s dead.  I thought it might have thermal shutdown but it wasn’t even a bit hot.           No beeps, no nothing.  Just dead.

I just returned my game to best buy today Microsoft needs to get it together im highly dissapointed
