window 7 usb/dvd download tool wont install

hey guys well im having trouble installing windows 7 usb/dvd tool. Im currently running windows 7 professional 64 bit which I installed off a retail disk.  When installing the program it comes up with an," error reading from file . Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

so far ive tried:

1. right click on file and running as admin

2.moving file onto flashdrive and trying to install it directly from the flash drive. Theirs nothing on flashdrive when I do this and its been formatted.

*note im trying to install the windows 7 usb/dvd tool so that I can boot up windows 8 from it. Also both files were downloaded from microsoft.com

any help would be awesome.

Click Start, type: %temp%

Hit Enter

Delete contents of the temp folder

Restart your system and try downloading again.

If the problem persist, try resetting your router if you are connected one.

Power down the router, disconnect it, wait 10 mins

Reconnect it, power up again

Reconnect the Ethernet cable

Try downloading again and see if it works this time.

Best,
Andre

hi its mrchacha again andre. Well I what you told me and I found the temp folder and deleted almost everything. A text document wont delete, its called FXSAPIDebugLogFile. So I restarted my computer and the tool still wouldnt install. I then disconnected my router power wire and the network cable.I deleted the usb tool and I also tried to delete the buglogfile it again but it still said a internet window is still open. I gave it another 15 minutes and then tried again. It said the same thing, now I reconnect everything and I still couldnt delete that file at lease. Lastly I downloaded the usb tool again and it still wouldnt install.

know anything else that I could do to get it working? thanks

Hello mrchacha2,

If you still need assistance in downloading the  USB tool, then go into Safe Mode and try to download from there.

To get to Safe Mode:
a) Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.
b) Select an option when the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, and then press ENTER.
c) When the Boot menu appears again, and the words "Safe Mode" appear in blue at the bottom, select the installation that you want to start, and then press ENTER.

Hope this helps.
