This issue may occur if master boot record (MBR) is corrupted. Try these steps and check if it helps.
Step 1
Disconnect all the external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc) except mouse and the keyboard and then boot up.
If this corrects the issue then add the devices back one at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing
the issue. Then get updated driver software for the device.
Step 2:
You may also try to rebuild the BCD and check if that helps. Follow the steps in the Microsoft help article and check if that resolves the issue.
