my HP laptop has windows 7 ultimate, but I do not have the disk of windows 7 ultimate, How can I create a copy of windows 7 ultimte or a bootable disk in case something goes wrong

My notebook was just repaired from HP because it stopped working 8 months after I bought it, now I have it back, but I do not have  a disk of the windows 7 ultimate that is installed on the computer.  This make me feel uneasy, but HP does not want to sell to me the disk of the installed windows 7 ultimate, and so I would like to be able to create a bootable diskette of the windows 7  ultimate, in case something else happens. HP sent me a restore set of diskette, when the problems started, but they did not work, and I have no idea if the original disk would have done any good, considering that apparently it was a BIOS problem. Can you give me instructions about  how to do it.

If you need a Windows 7 installation DVD, you can probably order from Microsoft Store and get it on your desk. Contact customer care for more information.

You can also download the ISO installation files from the digital river and burn the files to create an installation media for Windows 7.

HP provide recovery disks here. It also explains about the recovery partition which should be on the hard disk in the laptop.

 

Because the issue was originally due to the BIOS there is no reason to assume that the recovery disk they provided would not work. To can run the disk to test it will start as it will not make any changes until you have chosen your options and agreed.

 

The article also explains about creating recovery disks yourself.
