I lost create new folder ability, windows explorer in Windows 7 now only allows creation of "New briefcase" folder instead. How to revert to good old file folder create capability?

I lost create new folder ability, windows explorer.  Windows 7 now only allows creation of "New briefcase" folder instead.  I am not sure of any MS upgrade that caused this change. I would like to Pros and Cons of "Briefcase" folders and also

Briefcase should be one of the options. You just lost the Folder option and it is happening quite a bit lately.

Tip: When you save the text to Notepad, the default file format is .txt. Change it to All Files.
