I can't figure out how to logout of the new Outlook mail program.

I just need to know where you log off....It's probably right in front of my eyes, but I can't see it!

Hello AmandaEdegemon,

Thank you for posting your query in the Microsoft Community.

From what I understand you are unable to sign out of your account because you're not seeing your name on the toolbar. You should be able to log out of your account using the instructions given by kathleencollins. It is possible that you are unable to see this in your toolbar because of a corrupted file in your browser. You can refer to the link provided by SimonPeter_T on how to optimize the browser that you are using and let us know the results.

We also recommend that you keep your web browsers up to date to get the most out of Outlook.com. If you’re not using an updated browser, some parts of Outlook.com might not work and it might not display properly. You can visit the article below for more information about the best browsers for Outlook.com:

Which browsers are supported by SkyDrive, People and Outlook.com?

If the issue persists, kindly answer these questions for us to isolate the cause of the issue:

  • Does the same issue occur when accessing your account on a different browser/computer?
  • Does the same issue occur when using a different Microsoft account on the same browser/computer?
  • What is the type and version of the browser that you are using when you encountered this issue?
  • Did you receive any error message? If yes, please include the exact error message in your reply.

Let us know how things turn out.

Thank you.
