Outlook 2010 Synchronizing subscribed folders error (0x80048002)

I recently purchased a new computer with Microsoft Office 2010 and Norton Internet Security installed.  I used Windows 7 Easy Transfer to move my files from my old computer.  I encounter a problem in Outlook related to the location of my PST files and my user profile.  To resolve that problem I moved my Outlook PST files (Outlook.pst and Archive.pst) to C:/Users/David/My Documents/Outlook Files, then I deleted my profile, created a new profile, and verified my mail settings (@gmail IMAP/SMTP).  Everything in Outlook now seems to work fine with serious exception; Outlook Send/Receive takes about 45 minutes and then reports the following error message: Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for (ME)@gmail.com.' reported error (0x80048002) : 'This task was cancelled before it was completed.'

While looking through a few forums I found others with similar problems who were advised to remove Norton Internet Security and reinstall it without the virus scanner integration (among other various advise).  Before I try that I was wondering if anyone might be able to confirm that advise or have a better suggestion.  Thanks!

Answer
1) Navigate to File >> Options >> Advanced >> scroll down to the send/receive heading >> click on the send/receive button on the right
2) On the right hand side of the send/receive groups window that opens click on the Edit button
3) Un-check the "Get folder unread count for subscribed folders"
4) under Received mail items, check the option "User the custom behavior defined below"
5) In the window below that displays your Gmail folders just select inbox and leave the others unchecked
6) click ok and then exit out of options and perform a send/receive to test if it is now working

Worked for me.

Also be aware that Outlook 201o have some issue with AVG 2011.
Disable the AVG add in might help.
