Conflicts between Office 2007 and FrontPage 2003

Since installing Office 2007, I'm unable to log into my website through FrontPage 2003. Are there any conflicts I need to resolve? Are the softwares compatible?
I have no problems with opening/publishing to and
from  remote and local web sites with FP2003.  I
had Office 2007 installed, and now office 2010.
I cannot see any incompatibility with either
version of Office.

What errors do you get when attempting to log on
to your website?

Have you tried running FP Cleaner (
the routines that delete the hidden temporary
files and hidden web cache files.

Which order did you follow to install Office FrontPage 2003?

Ensure Office FrontPage 2003 was installed before Office 2007 on the computer. Installing Office FrontPage 2003 after Office 2007 installation may raise certain issues.

Both Office FrontPage 2003 and Office 2007 are compatible with Windows XP. Also ensure Service Pack 3 for office 2003 is installed on the computer.

This is great, _not_ !  My Office 2003 stomped all over itself so badly that not even the special tools from Microsoft could clean it out.  I ended up with no Office programs, including not FrontPage.  So I spent many $$ for Office 2010 then many hours reinstalling it and to re-building a lot of files, for a lot of hours.  Now I'm ready to get back to my web site via FrontPage 2003 and I read that I should have re-installed FP first!  Which means that I now need to un-install Office, install FP, and re-install Office?  Is that _really_ true?

You can try a custom install of Frontpage after installing office 2010.
In the custom installation, do NOT install any Office tools- mark them as unavailable in the custom intall dialogue.
After installation, you may have to repair Office 2007.
I have done this (with FP2003 and Office 2007) without needing the repair step, though installing in chronological order is the best way.
