office 365/2016 scan to email

when scanning to email, outlook opens, attachment binds, type message in email body, email sends with attachment but email message in body disappears! attachment goes through. this happens every time.

outlook 365/2016, updates installed, scan/printer driver is current.

mail is imap and when sending attachment by opening outlook, new mail first then attaching file, message and file send just fine!

have reinstalled office, reinstalled print/scan drivers.

any of my fellow nerds have any ideas? am scratching my head.

  1. Does this issue occurs while attaching other scanned document?
  2. What is the message format of the Outlook email (HTML or Rich test)?

Try changing the email message format of Outlook email and check if it works there. You may also install all the pending Office update and check if it work as expected. Installing any important, recommended, and optional updates can frequently correct problems by replacing out-of-date files and fixing vulnerabilities.
