Installing Math Fonts

How can I install math type fonts [on Office for Mac 2011]?

I would like to have some options for typesetting math equations, and have installed OTF/TTF versions of Asana Math, Latin Modern Math, XITS Math and TeX Gyre Pagella Math, both to User and System collections.... and none of these fonts show up in Word 2011.

Ultimately I would like to be able to select, say, Asana Math as the default math font. Is this possible?
I am not sure if you would be able to set it as default for equations only.
That said it should work if you want to change.
Do the fonts show up in other applications?

Yes, the fonts appear in other applications, whereas in Word they aren't even in the Font menu list.

I don't understand why Microsoft would include an option to change the default equation font (Preferences > Equations) if it's not actually possible to use anything other than Cambria Math.

If you install the free trial of MathType the special fonts for MathType will be installed. When the free trial expires, the fonts remain.
Be sure to include the version number and OS version when asking your question.
