Did you try removing it and reinstall it? as you are running a preview version this may need to be reported to the feedback hub along with info about your system, seeing you have a few extra drives installed, suggest when doing an upgrade of a beta software
remove any plugged in devices except KB/Mouse until the upgrade is completed than reinstall them.

Also as an Insider it is important to keep informed of what is happening with the Preview builds by reading the Feedback Hub and forums, as this issues has been reported before.

Hi, Joe.

Thanks for the note.

And I made the Hub contact , and was Mark, the tech that I talked, send me to this Forum.

He told me that the tech support Hub is for Home version, not for Insiders...

Thats why Im asking for Help.

Btw, I cant reinstall this version, cause I made the Insider install, not downloaded It...

Is the Drive showing up correctly in Disk Manager?

And have you used the Troubleshooter in Settings/Updates & Security  Troubleshooter tab. You might have to scroll down in the right panel to see the  Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Was it a spanned drive? I just updated to 17040 and just lost my 10TB spanned drive, it shows up as raw in Disk Management.

What sort of disk is G:? Is it a partition on a hard disk, or a separate hard disk? Is it possible that some other disk (such as a USB stick) has been substituted for drive G:?

How do all of your drives appear in Disk Management? Possibly the disk or partition that was G: is still there, but with no drive letter.

What was the filesystem type of your 10TB spanned drive? 10TB is potentially a lot of data to have lost! Possibly some recovery software could recover some of it, but you would have to write any recovered data to a separate disk or other media.

I hate to tell you, but I had a similar thing happen with one of my external drives.  Turns out the drive had gone bad, and Windows was unable to read it.  Hard drives do wear out like anything with moving parts do.

I'm having this issue with a spanned drive after this update. Shows up fine and is accessible when I boot into WinPE. It's definitely a problem with the update and not the disk/filesystem.

That is good to know that the data is still there. Does a spanned drive require a Dynamic Disk?

There was a change to ReFS recently. An ReFS partition, if accessed by version 1709 of Windows 10, was auto-converted to ReFS 3.3, making it appear RAW to any older version of Windows.

I am wondering if there is more tinkering going on with filesystems, such as NTFS, or Dynamic Disks, etc.

Had all partitions on my dynamic disks appear as RAW. Event logger told me that bitlocker was unsuccessfully trying to access disks. rolled back to  previous version; disks recovered. Phew !
