MKII ridiculously difficult????

This is using the arcade code. It is hard for a reason. To eat your quarters. The home versions where changed up in the difficulty. The arcade versions are brutally hard and cheap. Just keep continuing. After the game thinks you've used up enough quarters it changes the A.I to stupid or ridiculously easy. Or sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes it happens sooner sometimes it take a long... long time. Eventually you will pass the area giving you problems.

No....I remember in the arcade you always played from the 2nd player side because it was easier.  All you had to do was jump backwards and bait the CPU  into combos and special moves.  Now when this game was released on the midway arcade classics part II, this was also the case as it was on any home version I have played, except this one.  Good luck and I don't see a difficulty setting.

Okay...this does exist and you can do it as 1st player....as the CPU walks toward you...jump backwards and as the CPU jumps, move  slightly  forward to  perform an easy Round house or uppercut.  You can also perform this after a sweep and the CPU will follow...All you really have to look out for in this game is the CPU flipping you  on closer sweep attempts....otherwise...rack up the wins!

Using this method I've been able to beat MK2 with NO losses and at least 5-8 flawless victories.

I got through with jax, just do his gotcha grab rapid fast in shao kahn face, you'll smash him when you get the timing right.

Will take a few goes to get the timing right. Or cheat and use katana.

Its called SNK Boss Syndrome, and applies to pretty much any fighting game with really cheap AI. As stated before its intentional to keep you paying to play however its also a cheap way of boosting difficulty without actually creating smart AI for computer controlled characters just like rubber band AI in racing games. The Mortal Kombat games have always had ridiculously cheap AI... Shao Kahn in the new Mortal Kombat just goes to show they haven't picked up any new tricks lol.

The easiest way to beat the game is to use Katana or Johnny Cage.

i think this game was original hard, but it's still too hard on very easy. This arcade pack is broken to the core.

With mileena and great timing you can keep her SAI shooting at 2 secs. per move. Example:as soon as you perform the first and if it connect or missed you can already have the button released to throw the next also her GROUND ROLL can connect and bc comboed with a uppercut as well and perform her TELEPORTING KICK you should definately be able to beat shao kahn wit ease with the right timming
