Halo Wars continually pauses while playing

Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone knew how to get around this problem while playing Halo Wars.  When I play the game it just continuously pauses on its own over and over.  I thought it might have been the game pad, but I have tried 3 now and they all do the same thing.  Any help would be most appreciated as the game is almost totally unplayable at the moment with auto pausing all the time.

I had that happen before. I held in the pause button, un-plugged my battery on my controller, plugged it back in, and iot went back to normal

Yeah I have tried all kinds of stuff...  Seems to be working OK at the moment.  Really weird!
