DLC cars purchased in Forza 3 disappeared

Howdy doodie.

 

The whole ordeal started about two months ago when my Xbox RR'd on me and I had it shipped off. Got all the way there no problem, got fixed, and was on its way back when UPS lost it! That alone was a major hassle, yet Microsoft was very helpful and understanding and sent me a new one last week.

But now my problem is that it seems several of my purchased DLC cars in-game on Forza 3 have gone missing.

I mean I could just purchase the cars again but I had some really **** paintjobs on them and would really hate to lose them.

 

Anyone know what's up? If I am being too vague I will gladly elaborate.

Oh, and yes I did transfer all my DLC from my old Xbox to the new one.

So you did the transfer from http://xbox.com/drm, yes? Did you then redownload the content from your Purchase History under Account Management? As for your custom paint jobs, I assume this is stored in a save file of sorts, so hopefully once you regain the DLC the save file will kick in as well.

Are you pretty sure you did it, or have you tried it after I suggested it? In order to receive the best support here, I need to trust that you are trying everything I suggest exactly how I suggest it. Otherwise we'll be on different pages and not getting your issue solved properly.

Yes they have been transferred, yet they still are not in my garage.

OK, I still need to clarify that we mean the same thing. I know they were transferred (license transfer) but did you actively go into your Download History under Account Management and redownload them recently? Please delete and redownload them as described in our Download sticky: forums.xbox.com/.../33.aspx

right. i dont know if this may help or i may be worng. are the dl cars in the manfucaters area? (meaning try and see if u can find/buy in the game.)

Oh yeah I can repurchase the cars from the manufacturer in the game but not the ones I had before.

then mabie the save file had changed somehow. so u may have 2 rebuy the cars again.
