At What Rank Do I Start Unlocking The Cool Bulky Looking Armor?

Looking good! No need to worry about that. I'd be intimidated seeing that heading in my direction.

As for sites for unlocking armour you could try Bungie or Halo Waypoint. 

Your other option is to play longer and harder to gain those points.

By the time you hit General just about everything is purchasable. Have read that there are a few helmet options that you need to be a legend to get.

You could switch your helmet to Grenadier. It's pretty bulky.

Jack, your spartan looks pretty solid to me but I can understand the desire to toughen up your look some.  You'll start unlocking cooler armor pieces at Lt. Colonel.  Most of the nicer pieces unlock between that and General.  At General, you're only halfway to the top but you'll have most if not everything in the armory unlocked and ready to purchase by this point.

At Captain the ODST shoulders unlock.  Some cool armor unlocks at Lt Colonel.

Well, to get the "bulky" armor you either have a long way to go if you're still a warrant officer.

But if you're halfway to captain, nothing to worry about, you'll get the ODST shoulders and Jorge's chest piece I'm sure.

heh I think every Captain rolls with those two.  I know I did until I saw everyone else wearing them.

Maybe it's me, I just hate going into a match and seeing 3 other players with the same armor.  Considering there's only so many choices I know it's bound to happen.  Such as Emile's helmet and knife shoulder, Kat's robo arm...  I guess it's cool to watch campaign cut scenes looking a little bit like each of Noble team.

I like the Waypoint armor cause you don't see too many people using those helmets or chest pieces.  I wish there were more armor combinations.  It gave me reason to play the older Halo games for gear.

I've noticed a LOT of people using the robo-arm lately. I actually used your exact setup ('cept for colours) for a little while.

Doesn't  being bulky make you a bigger target.
