XBOX ONE ON COMMAND NOT WORKING

Hi all, not aware if there is another thread on here so I will start a new one.

my Xbox one on command is not working, I have everything set up as it should be. I have recalibrated the Kinect, made sure all setting are checked ( wake up Xbox with command ) I have even changed the location to US but still wont work. its not just me with this issue, have a quick look on Google and it seems a lot are having the very same problem. all other commands  work. I have spoken to a Microsoft agent and she has advised me that a update is required, but she said the update probably wont arrive until the 3rd/4th quarter of this year.... This is a major selling point for the Xbox one, they even advertise this on the television, but it simply doesn't work. I have had it working maybe once in about 100 attempts at this command. Has anyone got a solution to this problem, or maybe you are experiencing this problem.?

Hi there try a console reboot keep your finger on the power button for 5 seconds or until the light on the power brick turns orange. Then reboot the system to see if that helps. Also try speaking very clearly when you say "Xbox on" if your not speaking clearly it will not work.

Does it fail all the time or only some of the time?  When it fails, can you simply manually turn it on with the controller or with the power button?  Also do you notice if the xbox one power light comes on briefly and then goes out?

The forums are riddled with this issue. Xbox on is broke....You will drive yourself crazy over this, its a software issue MS needs to fix.  best to just wait for an update, problem is no one knows when that will occur and MS has been tight lipped on this. Save your sanity, use the power button, a Logitech harmony or the controller.

I have powered the xbox one down unplugged for 1 minute. Still not working, it's worked maybe 1 in about 50 attempts. I can power it on straight away with my controller and direct from the xbox. Me and the  Microsoft agent went through everything that we could think of and still not working..... other commands work just xbox on..... strange!  It has to be a software issue due to the other command's working when it's on.

@Elliot, Yes, as i mentioned above, its a software issue. Don't drive yourself crazy, or go down a path of smoke and mirrors voodoo tactics... Its a broken feature that needs to be fixed.

@PrimitiveMeat, yes im well aware it's a software issue mate. It's just annoying me, this is my second xbox one with kinect issue's, and yet MS still has it advertising on the television ( xbox on) and straight away it's on..I'm thinking of making the very same advert, that consists of a man yelling at his xbox until he admits defeat and just grabs his controller.Lol

The command is "Xbox On". NOT "Xbox One On"
