XBOX ONE DOESN'T WORK ON TV FULL HD 60 HZ !!!! XBOX ONE DON'T SUPPORT 60 HZ FREQUENCY!!!

Hi all,

i'have a problem with XBOX ONE, i have a black screen for one second every tot minutes.

On my Sony Bravia kdl-37p5500 FULL HD 60 HZ with either 720p or 1080p resolution, casually i have a black screen for few second, is so nerve-wracking!!!!!

I understand it is a problem of frequency, because  on another TV PHILIPS 8008 1400 HZ do not have any type of problem.

Have you solutions about it? I can hope for an update?

Why is not written anywhere that xbox one does not work with televisions with frequency 60HZ?

If there had been written somewhere I would never have bought the console!!!

I'm disappointed, see you :-(

Have your tried a different HDMI cable? have  your check your manual for your TV what it can supported. Or even take the cable you have now. And put it on a friends XBOX ONE. check those thing first before your called phone support about this. And the number will be. If in Canada and US is 1-800-4MY-XBOX. Have a nice holiday sir.

60Htz TV's are fully supported. In fact that's what the xbox one is designed to be used with.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Faulty cables can cause symptoms like than.

Also try a different HDMI socket on your tv in case the HDMI socket is faulty

yes i tried it 3 different hdmi cables :-(

it's so strange i have on the same tv other equipment in high definition with hdmi cable (like SKY tv sat)..and work without problems only xbox one have this problem.

But if I connect the console to another TV (philips 8008) it works correctly...the only difference between the two TVs is the frequency. :-(

Its not the frequency. Its got to be something else causing it.

My tv is a 60hz. Xbox works perfectly fine with it. The extra hertz you have on your other tv are probably just related to motion blur anyway. The xbox only outputs at 60hz or 24hz for bluray. Anything over 60 hz is wasted.

Either there is a fault somewhere or some strange compatibility issue with your tv

Maybe try going into consoles video settings and switching off HDMI (auto detect) mode and just select HDMI mode then manually select the resolution.

Hey thef0x1977,

Sorry to hear about the TV issue you are having. Just to ensure, you are connecting directly to the Sony TV and not through a receiver?

Check this link out dealing with Console display settings.

Give it a go and reach back with your findings.
