Xbox One disconnects from network and interrupts WIRED controller.

So I have had my Xbox One since March and this has been a recurring issue (even when I still had the wireless controller). My Xbox frequently disconnects and reconnects from my wireless network. When it disconnects it also interrupts my PowerA wired controllers and causes them to stop responding for a minute or 2, and in game I get stuck doing whatever the last action the controller registered was. I have done all of the troubleshooting steps on xbox support and they fix the issue temporarily but it always comes back a few days later. I also can't seem to find anyone else who has had this issue so I have no steps to follow from someone else having the same problem.

If anyone has a permanent fix for this I would appreciate the help, spinning in circles in-game every 2 minutes is getting quite frustrating.

(On a side note: when I try to setup a repair for network connectivity issues on Xbox Online Service Center it says I can only do by calling support.)

Hey there. I'm not sure what steps you've tried, so I'll list what I would try.

First, make sure your console is plugged directly into the wall, not a power strip. There could be a power issue causing this. If it is, it sounds like this is a hardware issue, not software, so I don't know that any of that will help, and you will probably have to arrange a repair anyway, but next I would:

Clear your network information, then go to Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off, unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes, turn it back on and re-enter your network info.

If that doesn't work, I would delete your profile from the console, turn the Xbox off like above and unplug, then re-enter your account details when you turn it back on.

Try a different controller.

Try a different cable.

The last thing I would try is a factory reset, but you will have to reinstall all games and apps, unless they are on an external hard drive.

If none of that works, I would arrange a repair. You can contact support at support.xbox.com/contact-us
