XBOX 360 S

So, from what I have been reading, the elite hard drive and the S hard drive are incompatible?  My son and I both had old Xboxes one, the elite went TU.  Now my son uses my old HDD.  His friend has the  new S 4GB and needs a bigger HDD for loading games to his XBOX.  There is no way around this but to buy the new hDD? If so that is a crappy way to treat your customers.  Some people cant afford that kind of stuff and even if they could it doesn't make it right to do business like that just because 'you can'.  If anything just sell an adapter for $20.  Maybe I'm wrong and it's doable the info is just not readily available. Please help.

Sorry, there is no way around it.  Keep your eyes out for deals.  I myself got myself a new 360 S 4gb system and separate hard drive for only $130.
