will i lose my free membership?

When I first got my xbox it came with a free silver membership, and i was wondering if i could somehow reset my xbox completely, as though it were new, and make a new account, and still have the free membership with that new account?

Your free membership will never be lost. The reason why your in a free membership, in other words Silver member ship is because you don't have a gold membership.

If you want to make a new account, go to your console and create a new one. If your gold membership is up and expired, you will go back to become a silver membership.
