Onkyo receiver not working with Xbox One

My Onkyo TX-NR626 doesn't turn off/on or volume control from xbox one but the model is recognized in setup. Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions/suggestions?

What the hell, my TX-NR626 doesn't even get recognized during the setup!

When I try and set it up manually the Xbox tells me it doesn't know what Onkyo is!

I have an Onkyo HT-RC260 and it works fine. X1 didnt show this model in the list the first time I searched for it with the whole model number. but it showed up when I searched for 260. Strange...

Not sure how you have yours set up. Are you using the IR blaster?

I control everything through my Onkyo receiver (via the HDMI ports), just like I do with my 360. I'm not using the IR blaster, and everything is working fine.

...well, along with my Logitech Harmony remote.

thanks, how do i use the ir blaster? i'm running everything through hdmi into my receiver. I have a harmony too but haven't tried setting up the One with it yet

I was having the same issue. I just got my Onkyo 626 to work with Xbox One by choosing Onkyo TXNR616 as the model.

I have an Onkyo TR-NX807 and everything has worked perfectly since the first boot up. No problems recognizing the receiver and all the voice commands work perfectly...well, as perfectly as voice recognition can be expected to work. Actually, my expectations have been exceeded. It was far easier than I anticipated it would b.

I have a TX-NR609 and I believe it is the next model down from the OP. I set it up through the normal setup and I have not had any problems with it. The receiver along with my tv turns on when I say "xbox on". It also works when I say volume up, Mute, down etc. It is working as I figured it would.
