3rd Party Hard Drive

Will you get banned for using a 3rd party hard drive. The price of the HDD for the console is to much when I can get one half the price. I have read the TOU and I don't see how this would cause you to get banned, but I just want to check first.

14. Service Operation and Equipment.

You may only access the Service with an Authorized Device or by logging into your account via the World Wide Web. You agree that: (i) you are using only authorized software and hardware to access the Service;

 

Since there are no authorized third party hard drives for the Xbox, it does violate the terms which can put you at risk for being banned.

as Smwutches said, there is a risk of getting banned by using a Third-party Device. I'd get an Official Xbox HDD or if you have a USB memory stick lying around, you could format that for use with the xbox, proving it meets the requirements.

USB will be your best bet for external use

only offical xbox hds are allowed in s consoles or on the side of the originals
