my hp printer can't print coupons

My hp printer will print everything else except coupons. I did all of the diagnostic test for the hp deskjet 2050 j510a series printer. I uninstall and reinstall the printer. I try unplugging and replugging the printer. I try using safari browser. Everything microsoft 2010 prints and if I am just printing a regular document off of internet it also prints. But if I am printing a Target coupon or another website coupons it will not print. What happens is that when I print coupons off of the internet it will act like it is about to print and then the power button, the paper icon, and both of the black and color cartridge icon lights all blinks. But, nothing prints.

Is there any other solutions that can stop all three printing icons lights from blinking so I can be able to print coupons.

Hi Caffie,

Thank you for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

From the description I understand that you are facing an issue printing.

To assist you better I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

1)      Have you made any changes to the hardware or software on the computer prior to the issue?

2)      Is it a Wired or Wireless printer?

3)      Which Web browser are you using?

It could be due to the incorrect Printer settings or due to the outdated printer drivers. I would suggest you to follow the steps and check.

Method 1: Disable third-party Security Software,

a)      On your Computer screen Task Bar next to System Clock.

b)      You will see the third-party Security Software Icon.

c)       Click on the third-party Security Software Icon, you will see a pop up.

d)      In that pop and select the option to disable, click on it.

Now the third-party Security Software will be disabled.

Important Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: I would suggest you to open the Internet Explorer as administrator and check,

a)      Press Windows Key + D on the desktop.

b)      Right click on the Internet Explorer icon on the Task bar.

c)       Right Click on the Internet Explorer and select the Run as Administrator.

Now try to print and check.

I would also suggest you to contact the Hp Support,

It is not the printer's fault. Most coupons are pdf files and Office doesn't print those. Use the Win 8 Reader App (or Adobe Reader) and press Control+P to print. Use Internet Explorer instead of Apple's browser.

Thanks for the information it was helpful. The problem was that when my computer went out my antivirus software came off and when I put it back on I still cannot print coupons. But, I have three other problems. The first problem is that I can only install my antivirus software on computer up to three computers. But, I installed it more than three times. The second problem is that I just brought my antivirus recently and I do not want to buy another one right away. So is there any websites that offers free antivirus that you do not have to pay for and it is safe for windows 8. And the last problems is when I went to action center security it says that network access protection agent is not running windows 8 and when I troubleshooted hardware and device it says that hardware changes has not been detected.

I am having the same issue with My HP. The printer goes to print but it just keeps printing the same line over and over and it only seems to be with Target coupons. Not sure how to fix it.
