Bad system config info windows 10 on boot up!!!

I understand how frustrating it is when things doesn’t work at times.

To Troubleshoot no boot situation, follow the below steps:

Step 1:

I would suggest you to download an ISO image of Windows 10 and try to install again using the Media Creation tool.

Once the bootable media is created, follow next step:

Step 2: Perform Start up Repair.

Follow the steps mentioned below to perform Start up Repair:
       a. Insert the installation DVD or USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
       b. Select “Troubleshooting” from the first Window and then select “Advance Options”.
       c. Then select “Automatic Repair” from “Advanced options” window.

This will help you to boot into your Operating system again.

Step 3: If automatic repair doesn’t help to repair the startup files, you may try to repair them using these commands through Command Prompt under Advance Options.

Refer to the steps:

a)After you boot the computer using Windows 8.1 DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press any key.
b) Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
c) Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
d) Select Troubleshoot from Choose an option screen.
e) Click advanced options in Troubleshoot screen.

f) Click on command Prompt.

g) Type these following commands and hit enter after each line of command:

• Bootrec /fixmbr
• Bootrec /fixboot
• Bootrec /scanos
• Bootrec /rebuildbcd

The "Command Prompt" DOES NOT WORK!!! When you (Bootrec/scanos) it does not find an operating system!!! We need something that WORKS!!! NOT GUESSES!! Get somebody that knows what they are doing!!!!!

Hello everyone.

Even I had this problem. I did run cmd and used only first two commands ( Bootrec /fixmbr, Bootrec /fixboot )

and it did solved the problem. During this my pc had windows 10 which was not properly installed (stopped at 10%). After this I again installed it but this time created new partitions and it worked properly with no errors.

Note:

Before this I also tried installing other windows version but all failed.

I am not sure if this is the exact method or correct one but may be it can help you.

If you want to get you old data from pc try using Hiren's boot software.

I am having the same issue and need a solution.   I have tried restoring windows 10 with no luck.

Which windows version do you have? Have you tried the video link which included restoring two parameters (num proc and truncate memory ) using cmd? If not try this link -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKH0dGX4KeA

You can also try to reinstall windows  by making a bootable pendrive or CD. 

I have windows 10.  i looked up those parameters in my windows 10 but they were not there.

Have you tried to repair the file using the following  commands?

Bootrec /fixmbr

Bootrec /fixboot

Bootrec /scanos

Bootrec /rebuildbcd

If this didn't  solve the problem then try clean installation of windows 10. Here is the link

Fix The Windows Registry

Boot from a Windows 10 USB/DVD and launch Command Prompt. It is better to use the DVD for this purpose. After that, follow these instructions:

1. Use the following command:
   CD C:\Windows\System32\config
   (here C is the partition where Windows is installed).
2. Enter the following commands one by one to rename these files with the .old postfix:
   ren C:\Windows\System32\config\DEFAULT DEFAULT.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\config\SAM SAM.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\config\SECURITY SECURITY.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\config\SOFTWARE SOFTWARE.old
   ren C:\Windows\System32\config\SYSTEM SYSTEM.old
3. Enter the following commands one by one to copy registry backup files to your current registry folder. This completes the manual restoration of your computer’s registry.
   1. copy C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\DEFAULT C:\Windows\System32\config\
   2. copy C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\SAM C:\Windows\System32\config\
   3. copy C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\SECURITY C:\Windows\System32\config\
   4. copy C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\SYSTEM C:\Windows\System32\config\
   5. copy C:\Windows\System32\config\RegBack\SOFTWARE C:\Windows\System32\config\
