Ipvanish

I am using windows 10 and have ipvanish. I close it down and then try to access the internet without using the vpn via wifi and I get a message saying no internet or limited internet connection although the signal is strong. Can you please advise?

Could you implement the following actions after shutting down IPVanish?

  1. Open CMD (Windows Key + R) -> Type CMD -> Press ENTER
  2. Type without quotes: "ipconfig /release"
  3. Type without quotes: "ipconfig /flushdns"
  4. Type without quotes: "ipconfig /renew"
  5. Type without quotes: "exit"

Did this solve your problem? If so, I'll assist you in making this an automated process.

Dear ,

Let's Try This Once.

Delete All Available  Wireless From System Go To "Manage WIRELESS Networks" In Network And Sharing

Delete The Wireless Connection Made To The Router - This Will Trick Your Machine Into Thinking Its Never Connected To The Network .

After Completion This Kindly Restart System Once Than Once Restart Wireless Device Also.

Than Press Win+R =Run .In Run Box Type ncpa.cpl Than Enter ,Select Wireless Option Right Click Select Connect\Disconnect Option And Check.

Note : Make Sure Wireless Is ON. If Still Issue Persist Than Reinstalled Wireless Driver As Per System Configuration Or Check With Internet Service Provider Is Internet Access Is ON For You.

Regards,

Akash Giri

This seems to be a rare case and i wouldn't suggest you to use IPvanish any longer. It seems like the protocols of your windows and the VPN you have selected does not really co-ordinate and you might need to switch your VPN service.
If i may, try ExpressVPN for windows 10.
I'm sure it will resolve your issue. I myself got it from VPNgrades

Did you try connecting using any other protocol offered by IPvanish?

I personally use PureVPN with PPTP protocol on windows PC. Works fine here

Hi Tiffancy

I didn't really had a need to try any other protocol. ExpressVPN worked just fine for me since the beginning.
Regarding the quality of PureVPN, I am not sure as my colleagues didn't had a positive experience using PureVPN so ExpressVPN still has an edge over PureVPN in my opinion.

How did you make this an automated process? I have the same issue with Office 2010 and IPVanish. Hope you can advise. Thanks in advance.

No it didn't work. What did work was instead of connecting to  IPVanish locally via Glasgow (1 x server), I tried connecting via London - 6 x servers (don't know why...) and that solved the issue. Can't explain whu, just happy it works.
