Office 365 for student

Hello,

My name is Ron. I am a student at Capella University. I registered a personal account under my email "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***," then my student account as soon as I had access to a student email. It is my understanding that I will not be charged for use of this while I am a student there. Is that right? I just signed into my account online and the website confirms I already have an active account. Yet when I try to open a word document from my computer it says I need to reactivate. I am just wondering if this is happening due to some confusion between the accounts I opened with two different emails. Or is it because the student version only allows me to access word through the internet (Microsoft Word Online)? I would appreciate some clarification on this. Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Ron Hurst III

You will have to ask your university which credentials to use when installing and activating Office.

I installed and activated it a couple months ago. Used the features for my first semester without a hitch. I'm getting ready to start my next semester and just want to make sure I have student access. Like I said, the website lets me use Word, but not on my laptop. Thanks for the reply.

Regards,

Ron
