Messages on Outlook are received but time is 1hr off

I receive an email but the "received" column time is off by 1 hour. The date is correct but time is behind 1 hr.  How can the time be adjusted?
Answer
Answer

Three probable causes, but only two you can address.  First, make sure your Windows time zone is set correctly.  Control Panel>Clock, Language, and Region>Change the time zone.  Second make sure your Outlook Calendar time zone is set correctly.  File>Options>Calendar>Time zone.

The other probable cause is that the mail server doesn't have the same time zone selected as you do.  You can't change that, but you can verify it by examining the message headers.  Open the message and click File>Properties.  Trace the Received headers to see where the time discrepancy originates.  If it's a server, you should be able to find it there, but you won't be able to affect it unless you control the server.
