"Error while archiving folder " at end of archiving process.

I have a huge pst file going back to 2008 (from the previous laptop running Office 2000). I have followed the instructions for archiving and am trying to archive my inbox. At the end of the process I get 'Error while archiving folder "inbox" in store "personal folders". No other informatiuon as to what the error could be or how to remedy it.

 

Anyone help?

After much trying of everything. I finally took the plunge, and renamed the file (but still pst) and put it in the left pane as an option (because despiet the corruption it can still be read).

 

I then started afresh with a new pst file. The only necessity was to regenerate the address book, which took an hour or two. So the matter is resolved now as far as I can see. Thanks for trying!
