Error 1304

I have tried countless measures, but I keep receiving the Error 1304 in a dialog box, stating that unable to read path: Pls verify access to that location, I tired installing Office 2007 as well as Office 2003, The same message appears, only different paths, Ive also tried installing from disc or installing by downloaded software, but to no avail. I am a genuine XP and Office user, and I wouldnt want to reformat my PC. Pls help.

Remove all the registry keys for Office 2007 and Office 2003 from the system and then try installing Office.

To uninstall Office 2007 click on the link below, click on Fix it follow the wizard.

Restart the system once Office is uninstalled.

To uninstall Office 2003 download windows installer clean up utility from the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301

 

1.     Click on download the windows installer clean up utility package now and follow the wizard.

2.     Click Start all programs-> Windows installer, from the list of application select Office 2003 and click Remove.

 

3.     Try installing office.
