Windows Build 15002 BSOD during initialization of setup

After the first reboot into the upgrade from 14986 to 15002 My computer sits at the windows logo for about 5 mins then BSODs with an error on the storport.sys driver with stop code DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. I have included a screenshot. The event viewer log contains little information except some Kernal PnP warnings about usb devices.

I am trying once more will all usb devices disconnected.

I will update once this attempt completes. I will also have more event logs then.

*EDIT UPDATE*

So After trying again I also noticed Virtual Box drivers crashing during boot but I am not sure if this is related at all.. I recently installed Docker on this computer and apparently Kitematic decided to install Virtualbox even though its redundant with Hyper-V.

I uninstalled it and have some event logs I will post below. However, I cannot find any event which directly correlates to the BSOD below... I am not sure if the event logger ever has a chance to start during the upgrade. Based on the time stamps I believe these logs may be from the reboot phase after the failed attempt at upgrading. Which would leave this BSOD as the only clue as to what is going on. There are also no minidumps in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder so...

The Green Screen of Death so I guess GSOD now for us insiders.

Answer
Answer
Hi,

I got that error message as well.

For me the problem was that I had an older version of the...

-Control Panel
  -Device Manager
     -IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers
         -AMD SATA Controller

...driver installed.  Updating to Version 1.2.1.402 fixed the problem.  (I downloaded Radeon-Crimson-ReLive-16.12.1-SB-SATA-AHCI-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-64Bit-Dec7 from AMD's site, extracted it, and manually updated the driver.

Hope that helps!
