Oracle VM VirtualBox: setup wizard ended prematurely

I understand that you are unable to install Oracle VM Virtual Box and getting an error “setup wizard ended prematurely”.

I appreciate for the troubleshooting steps that you have taken so far to resolve the issue.

1. Are you getting this error while installing any other application?
2. Do you get any error code while trying to install?

Though the steps provided are for Windows 8, but it may help you in resolving the issue.

Hi Shrikar,

thanks for your replay.

I followed the steps but found that NET Framework 3.5 was unchecked by default.

any way I unchecked NET Framework 4.6 too, but same error!

the installation bar just rolls back before it's complete and says " setup ended **** " with a message box saying " Fatal error during installation ". and no error codes.

and I don't remember to face this before with any software or windows version.
