Anybody know? I saw that CO:MW3 will have a extra charge for online play. Is that true? And why is it that everytime I try to post, I get the "server application" error or "can't display page"? But then if I highlight the address in the URL bar and hit enter again I can get thru?

Activision Chief Executive Bobby Kotick said that “Elite,” is an “enormous investment” for the franchise, and that a service fee was necessary in order to offer this content to players. He also said that gamers shouldn’t react too negatively, considering that the normal multiplayer is still going to be available free of charge. Activision has has experience with subscription based services, specifically with Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, which offers the game for $15 a month to its 11 million players. According to Jamie Berger, Call of Duty draws 7 million players daily to its multiplayer service, so it is expected to produce a massive amount of revenue from devout fans.
You don't need to pay it just to play.

I'm not sure about the server error though. Toady I tried to look at my download history and got "Uh oh, this shouldn't happened" so mabye the site is having issure ATM.

Yep the charge is just for subscribing to the 'call of duty Elite' site.
(Think waypoint with a charge attached).
Online MP will not have a charge as we already pay for that will our Gold subs.
What browser are you using?.
