Unable to play the games i have payed for due to kids...

 Hay XBL community.

this post will mainly be a rant so if you dont like these sorts or threads click off NOW!

Ok so basicly i pay £45/year and then another freaking £50 per new game to be met by kids using infections.

at the moment every single game in World At War, Call Of Duty 4, Modern Warfare 2, Halo, Frontline ect... ect... all have kids in using god mode, infinity ammo, ect that make the game unenjoyable if not at times impossible to play for us. this has to stop! you claim that you have changed your policy to perm ban people for using infections yet i see no action with backing this up. i have reported someone for using infections on numerous games countless times and then meet them again like a week later on the same game and there still not banned and once again they are using infections!

i, and many other users pissed off at this also, don't pay your company upwards of £50/year EACH to be met in game by some *** who just want to *** the game up to the point that we cannot play it?

if you send just one of your moderators into a Call Of Duty World At War game, you will get into a game with somebody using hacks/mods instantly almost every time alusing god mode so you cannot kill them and they simply sit in your spawn shooting you as you spawn, thus making it impossible for us to play.

due to this problem and many other flaws with the Call Of Duty brand i am not buying the next game in the genre because im *** sick of them getting hacked by 12 year olds that dont even get remotely punished for there actions.

or even if you take down the known sites like se7ensins and TheTechGame it would have a drastic response to the community because players wont be able to spread the mods so easily.

i thank you for reading my rant and hopefully something gets done about this before i officially give up, ring Xbox Live Support and demand my membership money back because this is just getting beyond a joke.

please post your feeling below.

Nobody has any points to make ??

You should read the suspensions forums to see what's being done about it.  Xbox is doing what they can about the game modders.  However, because Treyarch/Activision releases the games with these huge problems that they refuse to fix it's hard for Xbox to keep up with the problem sufficiently.

I myself refuse to play any of the CoD series online because of this.  Perhaps if others refused to purchase the new game because of problems inherent in all of them the developers would work harder on getting fixes out.

1. Have you actually considered that at least some of the people you've complained about aren't cheating? There's this horrible mentality going around of "this person beat me therefore he must be cheating".

2. All MS can do is ban the modders, until such time as Activision/Treyarch/Infinity Ward release fixes for their games it's a vicious cycle.

3. Take them down for what exactly? TTG/SevenSins response would be that what they're doing is to a point perfectly legal. There's no law that states you will be jailed for using infections in COD and any attempt to shut down a website like TTG/SevenSins would draw ire on freedom of speech grounds. Incidentily I will be running for President in 2012 on a platform of having all modders burned at the stake.

4. If nothing is done about modders explain this folder - http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/f/41.aspx

I too am looking to sit out MW3, mostly because King of Fighters 13 is out around the same time and I'll get more enjoyment out of that than having to deal with 12 year olds who believe they are Nietzsche's superman.

Tottaly agree i've only been back on the gaming scene since around xmas after having a few years off n i'd never played online b4 all my m8s r playing C.O.D Black Ops n raving on about it so thought why not. Since playing with them and many more of the xbox community i heard that Modern Warfare 2 was a great game so went out n bought it Done the campaign mode but i'm worried about playing the online multiplayer coz of all the hacks, mods, infections wot ever u want to call them. Plus i hear that if u enter 1 of the lobbies that r modded u can get banned from xbox live even when u didnt realise u was in 1 and never playing the game b4 i wouldn't no if i was in 1 or not so up to now i've only played 2 games of multiplayer on MW2 n i feel like i've been ripped off coz thats the main reason i bought it and getting banned is not an option after all the money, MSP, DLC and accessories ive purchased in the last 8 months. I think this is pure stupidity why should we pay £40 a year for a service that doesnt respect its games/gamers and banns them 4 doing nothing wrong and all the people that mess it up get away with it

Couple of things about dodgy lobbies and the banhammer -

1. Being thrown into one by the matchmaking is not grounds for a ban of any kind. Using infections gained from a dodgy lobby elsewhere is however grounds for a permaban. Considering being infected requires user input and is near impossible to do accidentily if you do get infected it's your own damn fault.

2. Want a fix or a refund? Have words with Activision and/or Infinity Ward. MS can't fix the game for them, all they can do is ban offenders.

@VernierSlake so i cant get into the modded lobbies buy just playing the game normaly i have to do some sort of lets say cheat and if the matchmaking puts me in there i don't get a ban even if i play the game not knowing it was modded?

You can get put into the lobbies through matchmaking but it is near impossible to acquire the god-mode/flying infections by accident.

So no just the act of being in one of these modded games would not get you banned, actively exploiting the infections however would.

The question being why would you want to remain in the lobby once you realised it was a modded game.

@Jonesy - the only thing you need to remember about modded lobbies is this:  If you accidentally find yourself in a modded lobby immediately restart your console.  This is the only way you can be sure of not receiving the ban-hammer.  Some people have suggested backing straight out to the dash to turn off any mods that may have stuck to your tag but for my money, it's worth the extra couple of minutes to just restart entirely.
