Trial HD map editor

I don't know where else to write this so sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am having trouble making maps in this game. I don't understand how the tools work. Whenever I use a tool the tool itself will move and the glued objects will either stay in place or jump all over the screen in an erratic way. If someone knows a video on youtube that explains how to use the tools that would be great, because all I can find is vidoes of already made maps.
