portal 2 white screen crash at start of game :(

When I press start I get the loading screen for the start of the game come up. Once the loading bar is full instead of the intro sequence starting I get a white screen and my xbox crashes entirely. I have tried 2 copies of the game and tried installing the game. Xbox support said they couldn't help me and to contact Valve. I have asked Valve for help via steam support department and they have not replied. Any ideas anyone?

To be clear, does this issue not occur with any other game? Have you tried either of these discs on a different console, such as a friend's? Lastly, have you tried the game on your console with the HDD removed?
