Minecraft items and spawn reset in EVERY game

First time on the fourms, but anyway, here's my situation.

Every time I log on a Minecraft game after being there before, all of my items are reset, and I'm put back at the default spawn. This happens with local games, online games, local games that are set to online, everything. It's like the game just doesn't remember me ever playing any games. The changes I make in the games stay, such as me building structures and such, but every time I exit and come back into the game, it's just me, the default spawn and a new map. Another interesting note is that the map I spawn with is has all the discovered locations on it as the map I had before. I'm not sure if that's relevant, but it's worth mentioning.

Can anyone help me with this? This is causing me some serious problems enjoying Minecraft, as all my progress is reset every time I join a game.

Hello, these are known issues with Minecraft for the XBOX 360.

The only way work around for the issue you are having with your inventory items disappearing upon logging out is to store them in a chest. Unfortunately there is no workaround for spawning in your first spawn location currently.

This thread has a community list of all bugs with potential workarounds here. 4J Studios the company working on the XBOX 360 version of this game are aware of all of these bugs and have stated that they will be bringing out a title update for most of the severe bugs in the middle of June and from time to time respond in those threads on that site.

You can also keep up to date with what's going on with 4J Studios in regards to Minecraft for the XBOX 360 by looking at their Twitter located here.

Well that answers my question I suppose. Hard to believe such a horrible, game breaking bug made it past QA at 4J.
