Local 1-2 player setup

How do I set up a Local 1 vs 1 setup ??? Some of my games offer "Local 1-2 player". I have a xbox360 with two wireless controlers. Is there a printable "How to guide" on this subject??? One game I have that offers this feature is "The Outfit" Chould you please offer me a simple step by step instruction on how to setup for this game. So I chould play it on my xbox360...when I have a guest over that whould like to play a 1 vs 1 game...I'd sure appreciate it...bfn.

I'm not familiar personally with that game, but I'd be happy to offer step-by-step instructions on another game you'd like to set up 1:1 for. Does anyone else out there know the step-by-step instructions for The Outfit?
