Hay i bought halo 2 a while ago and played it and finished it on my xbox 360 arcade and then i bought an xbox 360 slim with an official microsoft 250 HDD and i have downloaded the xbox live update but when i play it it says "theres a problem with the disc your using it may be damaged or dirty" and its not because i can play it fine on my xbox 360 arcade any solution?.

HALO 2 not working on my xbox 360 slim 250 HDD with xbox live update.

Did you check the disc for any smudges or scratches atleast? Was the Slim system used or new?

The slim was brand new and the disc is in great condition no smudges or anything on it. I can play halo 1 on the slim just not halo 2. (thanks!)

This usually means the laser on your 360's disk drive is dirty. The good news is that it is possible to open up your 360, access the disk drive laser and clean it yourself. And the best part about it is that you can complete this task in a limited amount of time.

talking about self repair is not allowed please do not tell users stuff like that. opening a 360 by anyone other than MS will void any remaining warranty and could possibly lead to a console ban for tampering.

that reminds me of my another game my friend has same game as me and console slim brand new and mine but didnt work so it might be you system
