After a failure during the latest XBOX-dashboard-update, my XBOX 360 restarted. I had to reconnect my wireless-connection and download the system-update again. That went well. But since then, my Wireless-N adaptor is unable to find and connect to a 5GHz-N-connection. It used to work perfectly before. How can I get 5 GHz-connections running again? Thank you!

Hello Shad0wmanUK, that link you suggusted doesn't apply to my problem. I do not have connection problems. My 2,5GHz connection works fine. And I am using the black external adapter. The Wireless-N-adapter is the black external adapter. I have a first generation XBOX 360.The problem is, that since the failed and then successfully resumed system-update, the adapter refuses to find 5GHz-networks, which it did find before.

I appreciate you could pick up 5Ghz before but its not an uncommon issue, some routers just don't work:- www.unofficialguidetolive.co.uk/.../166-wireless-gaming-official-wireless-adapter-incompatibility-list

Yes. It is. And everything worked perfectly before. Nothing changed. So I don't get it, why it won't anymore.

What about firmware have you checked on their website (not via the router) for an update?

Yes. Firmware is up-to-date and wasn't changed in before or after the XBOX 360 system update. It is not the router. It is the XBOX 360.

Well there's nothing you can change on the Xbox I'm afraid. I agree its certainly a sticky one because it worked before, but that Xbox will almost certainly work at 5Ghz with another router. I think your at an impass mate you can't roll back the system update :|
