Recover an old original Xbox gamertag

Alright guys, I would like to see if I could get an old gamertag "Skane" that was created on original xbox and not used for 360 at all...it is an old inactive gamertag, and I would pay the fee to change it happily if I could get it unlocked to do so. Is there some sort of limitations aspect of gamertags? IE, it has been inactive for XX years, therefore it is now free for use.

 

This gamertag has no gamerscore on it, no games played, nothing.  I see no problem anyone would have in deleting it OR even renaming it to something else so that I can get "Skane".

 

And don't give me the "xbox GTs are locked/ we can't do that" stuff because I know a guy that recovered an old GT like this.

You just have to be patient, Xbox is working on "recycling" old Gamertags just be patient and keep your eye on the Gamertag and Hopefully it will be Recycled for your use

Yeah I just read that, do you think if I contact customer support I could get them to review the one I want and possibly expedite the process?
