Random or Wrong Gamertag tied to Windows Account

So, I recently got Windows 8.  When I fired up Pinball FX 2 for the first time, I got a request from Windows to allow PFX2 to link to my Xbox Live account.  Since I don't own one, I clicked "Yes", assuming that I would be asked to create one.  Instead, I somehow got logged into this "JulianFob91" account.  I don't know who this Julian Fob is, or how I got linked to this gamertag via my Microsoft account, but this is NOT a gamertag I created.  There doesn't seem to be any kind of history on the account.

What's going on here?  Can I change the Gamertag, at least, so it's something remotely close to my name?  Is there some other place I need to go to fix the problem?

This is very confusing.

Thanks for your responses.

Whenever you join/create a Microsoft Account they give you a random gamertag that you can change. It's because you need a handle, but they can't call you by your real name or email for security purposes. If there's a gamerscore or something than maybe you let a friend, sibling, whoever use your email for their gamertag on an xbox. The random gamertags you can change, if it's a situation where it was loaned and they used the 1 free gamertag change then you'll have to pay 80 MS Points or $10 US.

I AM NOT A MICROSOFT EMPLOYEE NOR FORUM MODERATOR. However I do know a lot about acct recovery.

Hey, great!  I've been poking around, but haven't found my way to the option to change my gamertag... and pointers on where I should be looking?

Update: I found the usual link under my account settings, but they only apply to people who own an Xbox and people who have a GFWL game installed on their PC.  Unfortunately, I have neither of those right now.  I'll try installing one later and see if I can link my old GFWL account to my primary Microsoft account.

WOW.

Just figured it out.  In the Xbox Games for WIndows app, if you scroll LEFT, you'll find account controls.  LOL, now I feel kind of silly.  Learn something new every day!

Thanks for the response!
