Kinect sensor has insufficient power

Hi

I am getting the above error message.  I followed the troubleshooting guide in the Kinect support pages, but it's not clear to me how to proceed.

1. This is an older Xbox 360 console.  The Kinect sensor plugs into a power cord adapter, which in turn plugs into a USB socket on the back of the console.

2. It previously worked, but has been unplugged and stored in a drawer for a few months.

3. During troubleshooting, I unplugged the sensor and put in a Kinect Sports disc.  The console required an update, which downloaded sucessfully.

4. When I plugged the sensor back in, the error message returned.  The cable has a green, flashing light at the socket in the middle of the cable where the Kinect sensor plugs in.

Any help is appreciated.

Can you try a different USB port?  Also, please make sure the sensor is plugged into a wall socket and not a power bar.
