GXP Gaming Headset Not Working?

I've got EVERYTHING plugged in correctly, I can hear everything that comes out of my TV through the headset, But when I join a party or send a message e.c.t, Nobody can hear me and the "Mic" symbol isn't there :/ Its not the type or turtle beaches where you can just change the 2.5mm jack cable that comes from the audio cable either :/ Its clearly the 2.5mm cable because when I pull it out a little bit, It works but then goes off on off on off, I've been told to put tin foil around it?Would that work? What else can I do to make it work?, Is there an official site? Thnx

Hi Astro. Sorry to hear you're having problems. I would contact the manufacturer's web site or look in your manual. I'm sure you'll find the directions there. I can't really help if it's not a Microsoft product nor do I know the manufacturer of your unit.
