How do I get round Windows 7's file permissions?

Hi all,

Just been trying out the Windows 7 RC,it appears that Microsoft have made the security system a bit too **** retentive.

I've set Win7 up with me as the Administrator,I have the only user account on the operating system,so logically I should have Administrator
Access to all files,okay,so last night I tried dragging files from one folder to another,I get a pop-up message saying that "I need Administrator Permissions to complete the task",or something like that,it asks me if I want to continue,I click on the "continue",and then I get a message saying
"Access Denied",even though I am the Administrator,I go through the process of setting the file and folder permissions to give me access,everything looks good,then I try dragging the files again,with the exact same results,it seems like the Operating System is totally ignoring the settings.

This is an absolute royal pain in the you-know-what to try and sort out in Windows 7,Windows XP is far more user friendly in this regard.


I think Microsoft need to seriously rethink this.


Other than that,I am liking Windows 7,compatibility issues seem to be fixed,I can run XP software,some of my hardware only have drivers written for XP,but I seem to be able to use them,I couldn't do this in Vista.
